Linh's story

Linh Nguyen (pronounced Lynn Win) came to the United States with little more than her dreams. After earning Masters and Doctorate Degrees in Chemistry, Linh began serving as a Scientist and Professor at Northern Illinois University. Linh is the past president of the DeKalb League of Women Voters, and was an Athena Award Finalist for the DeKalb Chamber of Commerce. Linh is a committed advocate for our community, serving as a trustee for the American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees. Linh and her husband are proud parents of two kindhearted and curious kids.
